Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway
Trains run between the new, award-winning, Bolton Abbey Station and Embsay Station, built in 1888. Visits from Thomas the Tank Engine at Easter, Spring and August Bank Holidays, Yorkshire’s friendly line.
Grassington Festival
This annual music and arts festival offers classical, jazz, modern music and live theatre for the last two weeks in June. For a full programme please visit their website
The Dalesway & Walking
The ideal place to stay if walking is for you. The Dalesway is on the doorstep, or perhaps a stoll along the river Wharfe just 10 minutes walk through the village whatever you want whether a stroll or a hike this is a great place to start. Walking guides can be borrowed from us during your stay.

Upper Wharfedale Folk Museum
This is a museum situated in Grassington Square and concerned with the local history of the area, including exhibits of Lead Mining, Minerals, Craft Tools, Lathes, Dales Farming, Period Costumes, Folklore and the days of the railway recalled. World War 2 Memorabilia.
Grassington Dickensian Festival
A touch of the past for the first three Saturdays in December at Grassington Dickensian Christmas Market, stalls, tombolas, roasted chestnuts, braziers, mulled wine, Punch and Judy, Santa, bands, choirs and much much more.

Skipton Medieval Market
Make a weekend of Christmas markets and visit Skipton medieval market on the Sundays of the first two weekends in December.
Stump Cross Caverns
This 500,000 year old cave holds a superb collection of stalactites and stalagmites. A video is shown after the cave visit. Animal remains discovered in the cave are on display in our Visitor Centre.

Skipton Castle
The most complete and best preserved medieval castle in England well worth a visit.
Bolton Abbey
Ruins of Cistercian abbey and Priory Church, also walks along the river Wharfe to the Strid, and over the moors to Simons Seat and the Valley of Desolation.
Ripley Castle
A privately owned castle and village. The castle and grounds are open to the public and some Sundays in the summer Car boots markets are held on the field just in the village.
Fountains Abbey (World Heritage Site & National Trust)
One of the most outstanding Georgian water gardens, Elizabethan manor house and Cistercian abbey ruins. Also many lovely walks whether to Ripon or just in the Deer Park your whole day could be spent here.
